Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 Scratch Remover

Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 is an "Undo" product for life's little scratches!

    Whether it's a close encounter with a shopping cart, the metal studs on your daughter's jeans, your son getting his bike out of the garage all by himself, the neighborhood cat that's taken up residence on your car's roof, all vehicles get their share of scratches. Don't panic. Most of these scratches can be "undone" with Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0.

    Updated in 2009, Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 is an ultra-fine, jewelers rouge formula capable of removing most swirls and light scratches in painted surfaces. This is not a cover-up product. Most scratches can be permanently removed. Don't confuse Scratch X with those "miracle" scratch removers you've seen on TV. This product really works and it's backed by the Meguiar's company, one of the most respected names in car care products.

    I prefer to apply Scratch X 2.0 with a Microfiber cloth, especially on black and red finishes but it can be applied using a dual-action polisher. Meguiar's claims Scratch X 2.0 will not create more scratches than it removes but I have had it create surface haze on a black vehicle when applied with a Terry cloth. My advise is to apply and buff using a Mirofiber cloth. (Our Multi-task Microfiber Detailing Cloths work great with Scratch X 2.0)

    Sadly, some scratches are beyond Scratch X 2.0's ability to fix. If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail or if the scratch exposes primer or bare metal, it will probably require the services of a body shop. For everything else, try Meguiars Scratch X 2.0.

    This product belongs in everyone's detailing cabinet. Sooner or later, you're going to need it.
