The history of
Meguiar's goes back to 1901 when Frank Meguiar, Jr. began making a furniture
wax in the kitchen of his home in Indiana. The family moved their business to
Pasadena, California in 1913 to take advantage of a booming, market phenomenon,
private car ownership! From this rich automotive environment of the past through
the present, Southern California has been the ideal home for Meguiar's (now
located in the city of Irvine). For almost 100 years and four generations the
Meguiar's family has been dedicated to maintaining and enhancing fine automotive
finishes.
Today, Meguiar's
works closely with car manufacturers around the world and their paint suppliers
to develop new technology to combat ultraviolet rays, acid rain, oxidation and
surface swirls. This passion for perfection has established Meguiar’s as a
leader in automotive, marine and RV care products.
