3M Perfect-It Rubbing Compound

3M's most versatile compound.

    Perfect-It Fine Cut Compound safely and effectively removes 1200 grit or finer sanding lines, fine scratches, medium oxidation, coarse swirl marks and light water spots. Fine Cut achieves maximum results when applied by dual-action or circular polisher but can be applied by hand. If using a circular polisher, apply Fine Cut with a wool disc or a foam compounding pad. (A wool disc is more aggressive for deeper scratches but may leave more compounding haze.) Keep the speed within 900 to 1100 rpm. If using the Porter Cable, dual action polisher, apply with the orange Power Pad or Yellow Foam Compounding Pad. Set the speed dial between 3-1/2 and 4.

    Fine Cut Compound produces very little compounding haze (surface dullness) but should be followed with Finess-It Machine Polish or Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover to insure maximum surface gloss.
